Frequently Asked Questions
Check-in time is 12:00PM and after. Check-out time is 10:00AM for cabins; and 11:00AM for RV and tent sites. Unfortunately, there can be no late check-outs. No exceptions. If you need to leave your vehicle and/or depart later than the check-out time, please check with the office to make special arrangements. To extend your stay, please check with the office ASAP, but no later than 10:00AM on your departure date. PLEASE LEAVE NO TRASH BEHIND (The dumpster is on your way out, in the main parking lot). If you leave trash behind a clean-up fee of $25.00 will be charged to your credit card.
Do you have maximum number of people at each site?
Yes - site maximums (which include ALL children) apply to all sites and cabins. Large families or groups are required to abide by the maximums and should plan accordingly to take an additional site when booking.

Are pets allowed?
Excessive barking is frowned upon by "our moose" as well as our other guests and it is the owners responsibility for maintaining volume control of their pets.
*We expect you to clean up after your pets - free dogie bags are available throughout the park.

Will there be a refund if I leave early?
Per our policy, all fees are due and payable on check-in, and are non-refundable. There will be no refund for early departure. No exceptions.
What happens if we arrive late, or do not show up?
How many vehicles are allowed on my site?
- If you arrive late, after office hours, there will be a “LATE ARRIVAL” envelope available near the office door, with your name & site number, including the key if you have a cabin. Please proceed to your site and check-in the next morning.
- We discourage RV/trailers arriving after 10pm!
- Quiet Hours begin at 10pm so please be respectful when setting up.
- If you have not canceled your reservation, and fail to check-in on your arrival date, your credit card will be charged for the 1st night and you will forfeit any paid deposit.
- Cancellations must be made 72 hrs. in advance, except for HOLIDAYS and large groups which require a 2 week advanced cancellation notice.
- If you fail to meet cancellation deadlines, you will be charged the 1st night, plus forfeit any paid deposit.
- Delayed arrivals require you to contact the park directly and reservations not checked in by 11 am the morning following your scheduled arrival date will be released without refund.
- No refunds for early check out/weather.
You are allowed one RV and one vehicle on your site at any time, provided there is room (no parking is allowed on the road, or the grass). No boats, trailers, or haulers are allowed on your site. Check with the office for availability of designated parking for additional vehicles, boats, trailers and haulers. ATVs, motorcycles, etc, are not allowed in the campground except to and from your designated parking or site.
May we have guests at our site?
Yes, your guests are welcome. They must check in at the office prior to visiting your site, and they must park their car in the designated parking lot. Overnight guests must pay $5 each per night (provided that site maxiumums allow for extra guests).
Who is responsible for damages to person and/or property?
The park is not responsible for damages, injury, or loss by accident, fire, or theft to either person or property of any guest. Every guest is responsible for any damage caused to the person or property of other guests, the facilities and/or the campground. The campground will assess charges for damages to the site, personnel, or property of the park caused by any guest and charge them accordingly.
Does the park have Quiet Hours?
Yes. We are a family friendly park and observe/enforce quiet hours from 10:00PM to 8:00AM. Please be considerate of your fellow campers at all times. Children must be supervised at ALL times and must return to their camp sites at dusk when the playground closes!
Are campfires allowed?
Campfires are allowed ONLY in the fire rings provided for each site and cabin, assuming there is no fire ban in effect. Please note that fire rings, and picnic tables, may not be moved or relocated.If there is a problem with the location of the fire ring, or the picnic table at your site, please check with the office. Please extinguish fires completely prior to retiring at night, or leaving the fire unattended.
Are hammocks or clotheslines allowed?
No. Nothing may be tied or secured to trees or bushes.
Under no circumstance are campers allowed to collect, burn, cut, chop, or carve any tree, twig/branch, or brush within the park, dead or alive. NO EXCEPTIONS. Nor are campers allowed to dig a pit, build a structure, or in any way deface and/or damage the park, or your campsite. Any violations will result in your immediate expulsion from the park, and the campground will assess and charge for damages, and replacement costs when applicable.
Where do we put our trash?
Please dispose ALL trash in the dumpster in the front, by the propane tank. It is extremely necessary that ALL trash be taken to the dumpsters prior to 10 pm. After 10 pm, the bear proof cans are available and are located next to the main dumpster. No trash should be left at your individual site or cabin. ALL coolers must also be stored in a locked car or trailer prior to retiring for the evening.
Elk Creek Campground & RV Resort is a private property and the management reserve the right to refuse service to any customer. By registering and signing the check-in paperwork you acknowledge the receipt of a copy of the rules and regulations, AND indicate your willingness to abide by them. You may be asked to immediately leave the park for any violation of the rules and regulations, at management’s sole discretion, in which case there will be no camp credit, or refund of the unused portion of your stay.
